Eustace is King in a land of pawns. From his kingdom, knights and hunters swarm to the wildernesses to hunt, for there is a plague.
Monsters. Some, twice the size of a man and strong enough to rip one in half. Others who hide in the shadows, waiting to drag an unsuspecting prey into the darkness. Terrible beasts whose only place in society is their corpses on a bonfire.
But he hasn’t learned that this plague has a soul.
That you have a soul.
Hello! In this story, you play one in a group of five or six “monsters” who will soon embark on a quest to free themselves from the tyranny of Eustace and his many followers.
The setting will be a slightly steampunk/Napoleonic kingdom. I wish to allow you guys plenty of creative freedom, so I won’t say more than that!
Slightly serious, but dark humor is very welcome.
I also like to have a freely editable Lore Doc, so that players can refer to it for easy writing if they’d like.
