The deep-space starship Dauntless and her crew have just finished helping with the set-up of the colony Clotho, on the far reaches of the explored universe. It’s a major political victory for the Federation as another alien race has also been exploring this part of the galaxy and is making rapid progress claiming planets and their resources and subduing the local population.
The crew is due for some R&R back at the nearest planet with anything worth having when suddenly, all plans change….
