Things are never as they seem, most of mankind believes anything paranormal or supernatural is just the stuff of myths, the imagination, it’s impossible, it can’t be real, can it? Magic, aliens, cryptids, metas, acts of science, the whole nine yards, they’re all real.
Since the dawn of civilization mankind has been protected. Be it wizards and mages defending their realms from evil. Heroes given or chosen by the gods(aliens) to wield their relics(technology). Or those monsters seemingly cursed by fate choosing to deny their lot in life and fight to defend those who would otherwise destroy them.
Up until the mid twentieth century no governments recognized the supernatural, until Roswell. That day agents of both the Americans and Soviets reported to there governments. A treaty was formed, to create a covert off the books organization to contain and fight the supernatural, the Anomaly Response & Containment, codenamed ARC. Since then the Organization has worked in the shadows to protect mankind from the things the public cannot handle.
