The world of Enythas is on the brink of change. Chaos brews across the kingdoms, with the Old rising from their exile, people are starting to panic as death sweeps over mortal kingdoms in waves. Having lost faith in their leadership, the people of Silteorn are beginning to revolt against their king. Major cities have collapsed under pressure, the people have taken to the streets and there is fire and ash covering what once were marble floors of the palace. The king has hidden in one of the villages in the Silken Top mountains that had given the kingdom its name and angry mobs and the kings guards have been reported tearing homes and sacred temples apart trying to find the royal family.
You live in Ashdrop, a settlement surrounded by the mountains, housing no more than 200 people. There are two ways to enter the village and that is through the river Tilla and the small, narrow passage next to it or the secret tunnel that had been dug up centuries ago during the last great war and everyone knows the ceiling has collapsed. Men and women have taken up arms, too on edge not to stand guard by the entrance and look for flaming torches lighting up the pathway. Tension cracks the air like lightning, the once happy and bright centre now a quiet, ice cold glare and people are starting to believe that if they stay silent, they will go unnoticed. After all, there is no space for a king to hide in such a small village without anyone noticing and you’re certain you’d know.
The nearby forests are rustling with suspense and chill wraps around houses. You’ve lived here your whole life but you’re sure the mountains have never been this cold before. You and your people are dangling off a dangerous cliff now and the question is who will tear down the peace you have maintained for so long. Nobody wants change, but everyone knows it’s coming, how will you accept it?
