Imagine a world where there are two types of humans. There are the mages, humans born with a tattoo that both gives them their magical abilities and indicates who their soulmate will be, and there are the regular humans. Mages live in a world just parallel to the world of the humans, and the veil separating them is so thick that only those born with the tattoo of the mages may pass through it.
In this world there are five types of magic, each having their own sub-types. They are as follows:
1) Material Manipulation: The ability to directly affect the material world around you.
2) Black Magic: The type of magic humans are most familiar with.
3) Elemental Magic: This type of magic deals with the five basic elements of the world.
4) Natural Magic: This type of magic deals with the very essence of the world itself. Natural magic is most related to Mother Nature herself.
5) Mental Magic: The phrase “all in your head” applies quite literally here. Those who deal in mental magic are able to use magic from their mind to preform amazing feats.
You are one of these mages. Whether you were born to a family of mages, or born to that one of humans is up to you.
Every mage has an aura. When one is at rest or going about their regular day, it is invisible. The aura only becomes visible when a mage is preforming magic. (the colors for each individual magic is located in the reference Google Doc)
