This is a playtest of the rotating narration feature of Storium. Please be aware that if you join, you likely will be narrating a scene. It is possible to skip over a player if he/she really does not want to narrate. If that is the case, please let the narrator know as soon as possible.
This story will take place on the Orient Express in January of the year 1924. The route will be Paris to Strasbourg to Munich to Vienna to Budapest to Bucarest to Istanbul, which should work out pretty well with one scene playing out in each of these stops. The Orient Express once got stuck in a snow drift for days near Istanbul (the inspiration for Murder on the Orient Express), so we may want to play with that as well.
Passengers can embark or disembark at any point along the route.
Also, passengers can be fictional or historical. For instance, we’ll have Nikola Tesla and Harry Houdini on board.
This story will be episodic in nature. The characters and setting will remain (mostly) the same, but each narrator is free to take his/her scene in any direction, from mystery to thriller to romance. I’m thinking of keeping this grounded in reality, but who knows? Lovecraftian horror on a train might be good fun. Let’s enjoy this and see what rotating narration can do.
Posts should be made in third person, past tense and I’m pretty picky about correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage (except when using dialect, of course).
Card creation is completely open to you.
Looking forward to seeing you onboard.
