A tense historical fantasy thriller, Aimsten Hall aims to follow the story of the Henneming family, a minor noble house who has ended up on the wrong side of a royal civil war. The characters to be followed are the young children of the family, who range in age from being on the cusp of adulthood to barely being able to understand what’s happened to their parents. Dark themes are to be expected, as the children contend with potentially losing their titles, estate, or even their very lives.
This is not a tale of triumphant kings and their most powerful nobles, jockeying with each other to assert themselves at the top. Instead, it is a gritty grassroots tale focusing entirely on the survival of a single, barely significant family. When the world as they knew it has crumbled, how will they navigate the fallout?
