Three civilized humans were merely wandering a pristine forest and carefully searching for ancient fossils when a rare tornado intentionally struck. It had already run through a chemical plant and forcefully picked up some synthetic substances. They were swallowed up, along with a few primitive animals. Their DNA was artfully combined, and new beings were inadvertently created. They were the Reignited.
