Neverland.
Once a lively city of hope and adventure, Neverland is falling into darkness. It started a couple of years ago when a thief broke into the Faerie Courts. He stole something that night, something that had been locked up for a reason: magic. Dark Magic, taken from an ancient sorcerer whose soul had been trapped in an ancient artifact and locked up for eternity.
That thief was Peter Pan.
He used the book’s secrets to grant himself immortality. Not even the Fae know exactly what he did.
All anyone knows it that it cost him his mind.
It was a slow process at first. Once loved by many, his closest friends noticed his spirits wavering. Her grew paranoid and withdrawn, constantly looking over his shoulder as if someone was watching him. He would disappear for days or even weeks at a time, and each time he returned a little different, a little worse for wear, a little more distant.
And then, one day, he returned with new friends. An army of shadow warriors, raised up by some unholy magic that the Faeries had contained behind iron and steel and concrete… but to no avail. That magic had been unleashed, and it had a new master.
They marched on Neverland, spreading across the city with their silent power. They removed the City Council from their offices, bent the City Guard to their own will, and cast a shadow over all of Neverland. Now, Neverland lies in darkness and shadowy warriors walk the streets. The people of Neverland live in fear.
And so began the reign of Peter Pan, The Boy King of Neverland.
He vowed to rule forever.
But can he be stopped?

NARRATOR’S NOTES
This is my first attempt at narrating a story here in Storium, so it’s going to be a bit of a learning experience. The idea comes from a novel I’ve been working on (for practice) based on, obviously, Peter Pan. It is intended to be a little darker, set in a Steampunk version of Neverland with a hint of magic. I’m hoping to leave a lot of the setting and world creation open for interpretation by players.
I am looking for 3 or 4 players whose characters will make up a little band of rebels being recruited to oppose Peter Pan and his army of shadows. Characters should be original characters; familiar faces (though re-imagined for this setting) will be met along the way.
Again, I’m hoping that be leaving a lot open to interpretation, players will have some room to be creative and grow not only their characters, but also the setting and plot. However, if you have any question about what might be too over the top, please just ask. I don’t want this story to be too magic heavy. Just a little touch. Feel free to play with the technology. Airships and clockwork machines and weapons… have fun with them.
And, of course, just have fun in general. Let’s tell a good story!
