Everyone recognizes the old bloodlines, vampires, werewolfs and the like because they are the oldest of the clans. There is a balance to this underworld, the clans have a code that keeps the piece and keeps the unsuspecting humans none the wiser about the greater world.
The old bloods have the run of most cities and the smaller clans find their place in the grand scheme of things. There has not been a new clan in well over 200 years, some say that the original mutation that caused the first bloodlines has run its course and nothing new will come but others believe the old bloods don’t want any new clans.
The stage is set for a new breed of creature to step into the light, no one knows who they are or what they can do but odds are that they won’t have it easy in this world of monsters.
