The Nether is considered by many to be a place of awful things - suffering, mainly. But to the people who live there, called Netherborns, it is home.
Not to say that it isn’t dangerous at all - people aplenty still lose their lives to the monsters about. But it’s a way of life, and the Netherborn people don’t mind it much.
Which brings us to you, a Hellhound. One of three people who guard the Netherlord himself, a man named Tanner. Strictly speaking, Tanner is not the only Netherlord, but he is one nonetheless - and more importantly, he chose you to guard him.
However, times are changing. Rumors have begun to stir, and it’s said that one of the other Netherlords, Vivven, has begun to worship the fallen god of darkness, sinking into evil as she does so. In an effort to quell those rumors, Tanner has decided to travel across the treacherous landscape of the Nether in order to meet with her personally.
And so, as is your duty, you must follow.
