The word spread quickly throughout the Glamour Isles and beyond. There was a new Theatre in Caerleon, and Queen Elaine was calling for players to fill it. A week long festival in which select theatre companies from throughout Avalon would be permitted to perform on that stage, with the best - as judged by the Queen herself - earning her patronage as The Queen’s Players!
Of course, first Earl Cairig’s Players need to get to Caerleon with their costumes, props, purse and company intact. And once there, they’ll need more than talent and luck to attract the attention of the queen and avoid sabotage by rival companies and disapproving Realists…not to mention other, stranger intrigues that may cross their path.
A Shakespeare inspired romantic dramady about a company of players trying to win the favor of Queen Elaine while getting unwittingly caught up in the romantic and political intrigues of the Royal Court.
