Devil’s Creek - Australia’s hidden gem. A broad beach on a bend of the Warrabidgee River, overlooked by great sandstone ridges, deep in a forest of paperbarks and blue gums. The sandstone cliffs and ancient caves of Devil’s Creek have some of the oldest rock art on the east coast. Discovered in 1865 by trackers searching for the notorious bushranger Thunder Bill, it has long been a destination for historians, anthropologists and thrill seekers alike, though the rugged terrain and broad river have made it unaccessible for all but the most experienced adventurers. Until now.
