Our sleepy eyes were particularly disturbed by the lights of the road along which we were supposed to go - they glided so patternedly along the slopes of the mountains that we hoped to the last to reach them from the other side. Now, almost from the top of the neighboring, not so high mountain, it was obvious how far from the road we were. Both sad and scary. Being on an island far from civilization in my understanding is already a sufficient contrast, but being lost in the mountains in the middle of forests and plantations, and even at night, with an iPhone that has long been discharged instead of a flashlight, is what you should not tell your parents first of all (but I, of course, did so). And how we were angry with each other, that the summit will not happen, that the route does not allow to get stuck here for another day. There will be a reason to return - someday - I consoled myself.
