They Lie Below the Ice

“Hear our song, come child, come to us. As you grow weak, we grow stronger.”

When the wind howls and the snow swirls over the frozen lakes and partially frozen rivers it is best to stay indoors. In past generations, the children were told to stay close to their families and stay warm for it was easy to lose one’s way in the darkest days of the year when the sun barely shines above the horizon.

“Stay close to your brothers and sisters, keep your loyal dog with you to warn you of things best kept away from. It is best to let what lies below the ice remain there…”

This is the 21st Century and few remember or have ever heard these warnings and now two children have recently gone missing.

This paranormal mystery story will take place in an isolated community in northern Canada over the course of 24 to 48 hours. A small group of volunteers are part of a search party sent to find missing children. The search party would be from 3-4 people. This is meant as be a cooperative game built around investigation, myths, history and teamwork. It will be a single narrator driven where participants will need to pay close attention to clues. There may be a number of red herrings included.
