Changes, everyone goes through them. Most would argue that the most painful time of such changes occurs during the formative teen years before emerging as full fledged adults.

The night of high school graduation is full of celebrations, some with family but most with peers. Rules are relaxed because the newly graduated are taking their first step into adulthood. And these parties tend to break every rule they can manage as the graduates share their last hurrah together before going their separate ways into college, work or travel.

Tonight’s parties are no different. Parents have turned a blind eye or generously left their graduates full run of the house for a few hours. Drinking, dancing and more are taking place in abundance.

Yet, tonight is different. A few of the students will come into contact with an otherworldly vector that intends to change them, to twist them into dark and perverse things. They will come to hunger, a hunger that will only be sated by the suffering of others. As the need grows, it will make no distinction between the loathed and loved. It will eventually drive them to take as much as they can, whenever they can.

Try as they may to fight it, the metamorphosis will change them.

This is a story of personal horror. Personal horror is when a painful betrayal of one’s self image, self-loathing, internal conflict, personal failing/flaw or guilt is played for drama. The characters struggle with a darkness from within, rather than external threats.

This story is intended to allow us to explore the dark places of our imagination by allowing the players to be the hero slowly transforming into the monster against their will.

To set some early expectations before you consider applying, the characters are NOT turning into zombies, vampires or werewolves. The objective of this narrative is to explore the gradual, dark transformations overtaking the characters that will threaten their sense of self and the safety of those around them.
