Dirty cops, corrupt politicians, and ruthless criminals wrestle for power in post-WWII Los Angeles, struggling against the limits of race, class, and gender in the shadows of a suburban empire. As the City of Angels blossoms into an industrial, financial, and entertainment center, who will come out on top? Will there be any justice for the deeds done in the shadows? Or does power here reign so absolute that only fools hold on to their ideals?
