A long time ago two beings lived in the galaxy alone, the two were children of the one creator and like all his children they had been given their own galaxy to live and rule. With most of the planet’s barren and lifeless, there was only one planet that had their interest. The planet was named the Gem, as within its core sprouted the same mystic energy that had been the catalyst for forging them and their creator at the beginning of time. The Planet Gem was covered with nothing but water, the source of the mystic energy originating from its very core and heating it up locally as well as heated by nearest sun.
The two siblings fought jealously over sole rulership of the planet, both of them wanting sole right of the gem. The first sibling took up the name Lord of the twin moons as he had quickly taken the two moons circling the planet as his base to fight against his sibling. The second sibling took the name Inamorata of the Seven stars, her home being the seven stars closest to the planet and thus the ones most visible from its surface at night.
Jealousy turned to rage, eventually a full on war had begun between the two and they fought each other without mercy for eons, both of them immortal beings and as such neither of them able to win the battle seemed it would last until the end of time; that is until some of their blood from the battles had hit the planet Gem. Each massive drop of blood from the large sibling gods formed land on the surface of the water and soon after getting in contact with the mystic energy of Gem, water and land alike started teaming with animals.
The god’s watched this new form of life with astonishment, they watched as the animals would differ according to where they originated and while some lived on the nature alone others started killing and eating each other to survive. Lifeforms capable of living and dying had been created, this new discovery gave the sibling god’s a idea.
Both of them would create a intelligent life form seed, a seed destined to create a plural of other intelligent beings which would belong to their rule, they would give this new a chance to live and evolve on their own and then return later to force their new servants to battle each other until only one bloodline remained and the victor god would then claim Gem as its own. Satisfied that they had found a way to conclude their struggle both of them created their Life Seeds and then set off into their galaxy to explore and attempt to create or mold other planets in the galaxy.
It would be millions of years before the two siblings would return to Gem, in those many years life grew, evolved and expanded. Each of the Life Seed’s forms offsprings having the innate ability to mutate rapidly in accordance with their surroundings and needs, each of the offsprings finally settling upon a final form before creating more offsprings now unable to mutate yet born with the abilities and form of their parents. In some places children of the two Life Seeds had even mixed together to grow interesting mixtures of the two, the Life Seed’s themselves eventually dying out among their first children with the mutation ability, leaving behind a legacy of different established races.
The new intelligent life went on to create societies to better their life and others, using the land around them to create town’s and livelihoods of their own. Some of the races had more members and used their superiority to enslave or war other races as kingdoms was established, while other had exceptional intelligence they used to make their fewer numbers count as they created advance technology to fend off others and better themselves.
In one of the larger lands known as Deviara, named so after what was believed to be the name of one of the Life Seeds, the most prominent societies became that of the city-dwellers who lived in grand cities with erected stone walls around them as their leaders ruled from beautiful castles; other societies was that of the woodland hermits, the forgotten races from the depth of the oceans and the outcasts living in more primitive societies.
The sibling god’s returned to find the new flourished life, a sight which pleased them greatly even though some of the races had mixed and become indistinct from their Life Seed, the god’s arrived and announced that now the final battle would begin. According to their plan the god’s wished for those of pure blood lines to battle out until only one of the Life Seed strains laid dorment, the planet would then be stripped of life as the victor god would claim the Gem.
A thing which neither of the god’s had anticipated however was that of free will, the intelligent life forms did not obey and most even choose to rebel, this angered the gods and in a fit of rage they created various monsters designed to hunt down the intelligent life as a punishment. The result became a dark time where many were killed, grand cities and settlements destroyed under the powerful monsters. The strongest Kingdoms aligned themselves with the smaller and more intelligent races to create a magic barrier designed to wall the monster out of the towns, but even so many lives was lost as it became increasingly harder for them to gather food with the monsters lurking outside the barriers.
A group of brave adventures consisting of different races sought out a way to stop the god’s before they rained down another wave of monsters upon them or choose to destroy them outright. The heroes managed to claim and form a part of the mysterious energy from the planet’s core and use it to create a powerful Gemstone. Using the powerful Gemstone the group captured both of the sibling gods within it, sealing them away as their only option against the immortal gods. The group then shattered the Gemstone into seven fragments and went off on their own, each tasked with keeping the fragments safe.
Without the god’s Deviara was capable of calming down the monster onslaught, while the monsters continued to exist as they too could breed, their existence eventually became more or less considered as simply as dangerous animals to avoid. The barriers used to fend off the monsters stayed in place, but the race that had helped build them had vanished in the night not to be heard off again; some rumours saying that they had sought out a way to live far away from the less intelligent races in fear of their savage ways.
The dark ages had ended, life once again resembled more of what it had been before the return of the god’s on the planet Gem and the land of Deviara, except…
The story began on the mainland Deviara, a place that had done it’s best to adapt to a world now filled with bloodthirsty monsters created as a punishment by the banished god’s; both gods and the monsters origin long since lost to time. Ordinary fauna and flora continued to exist though several animals have gone near extinct while others quickly adapted to avoid the ravaging monsters.
The southern part of the continent was a vast desert laying right up to the open grasslands that covers almost all of the central part of Deviara, icy mountains set in the north while thick jungle is set on the eastern bank of the continent. The desert home to the Blood Kingdom, a race which differed little from humans other than their red crimson hair and innate magic. In attitude however they saw themselves as superior and waged war on Dunmar Valentines human kingdom in central Deviara; all the while the Blood Kingdom used other races as slaves spreading fear to any towns within its domain.
King Illidan Vernet of the Blood Kingdom was seated in the town Crimstone where two fates were forced into a shadowy conflict within the Blood Kingdom. One a noble of an important house named Caius fai’Vishashael Vinthaeris, a gifted scholar and warrior who sadly found himself hit by a powerful curse and the other a Raven-like devil thief stealing from the nobles.
There are plenty of stories of how they both got blamed for the crime of stealing the town’s barrier orb, a orb powering a shield around the town to keep monsters away, but the important part was how their efforts managed to discover the secret of the entity known as the Dark. The Dark being a corrupt creature made of living darkness capable of corrupting minds, they both managed to stop its plans and save the corrupted mind of prince Jericho Vernet. After the events the devil disappeared from history after achieving incredible powers and Caius created a magic institute called Midnight Haven. It took 8 years before Caius was swept into another incident, this time something the Dark had left behind was being used to create metallic monsters while he found himself battling against the Mooncult. The Mooncult sought to find all the pieces of the old god who called himself “Lord of the twin moons” to free him, this new party which consisted of Cirus a Dragonscale, Sharrow a genetic experiment, Fenthariel the Midnight Haven magic researcher along with several others managed to put a stop to it.
(Mostly for previous players and those who read through the other books)
During the last 8 years Deviara has seen an increase in magic architecture and technology, while flying houses such as the Ornithine haven’t entered a stage where they are used by the public, mainly due to the discovery that having two of them in vicinity cancels out its gravitational fields on such large structures. The world has instead benefitted from the alliance between Red Academy and Midnight Haven to where housing constructed with mages and towns have created incredibly infrastructures. The Red Academy has seen an increase in its profit by selling the concepts that made it possible for their headquarters to be in metropolis size without barrier orbs or decline in food for its inhabitants.
Crops now develop in confined structures kept health with magic, Tame Stalkers are now breed to produce better meat and milk while keeping them healthier. Politics on the other hand are nearing a breaking point while the two major monarchies keep steadfast on their thrones they are starting to make life harder for the free towns in their areas which have increased in size and power because of the magic from the Red Academy and Midnight Haven.
While the Red Academy in this new age are starting to receive threats from king Dunmar and alliance requests from the rebellion things are starting to head towards blood conflicts much like how the war between the humans and bloods originally began. Because of this the workings of both magic institutions have been limited to the area’s around them, meaning almost the entire western part of Deviara remaining untouched as well as the Dawnbringer and Nightbringer home to the east.
The Vernet town Hearthome has grown to almost a minor kingdom of its own, though it has no proper castle and is ruled by a council in charge of the rebellion. It’s citizens made up of defected Blood’s from various stations, former slaves and freetowns from the Blood Kingdom region. While establishing an town made it possible to be painted a target by Illidan, his forces has seen no victory against them as he cannot afford to focus too much on them with king Dunmar still a main threat. Adopting Boothe into the council she had become the voice of freetowns like the small village she and the old man had been living in. A statue had been erected of Caius in respect to his sacrifices and all the things that would had never been without him, Jericho often seen paying his respects to it especially in times of doubt.
Nãrya’s Bubbleball has seen new heights thanks to Rhuneth’s contribution and the Bubbleball Tournament have now succeeded the Freetown gladiator arena’s in popularity and stands to be the only non-violent contest between each kingdom. King Illidan, King Dunmar, Red Academy, Midnight Haven, Blood Rebellion and Human Rebellion have all a team of their own. While the rebellion team are showing great courage to show up to a game against their enemies there has of yet been no bloodshed at any of the tournaments which so far has been held in an Arena build on a fake island established in the gigantic lake between the Blood and Human kingdoms.
The monsters in Deviara have grown larger and grown several new ways to attack and defend, but they still react to the various barriers which have made them avoid towns more and more in favour of fighting each other and travellers. There are rumours of monsters who have been able to infiltrate barrier towns and freetown’s to prey on people walking alone in the night and the most recent seems to be stories of monsters possessing bodies or infecting people with a disease that makes them go feral; however so far these stories remain unproven yet it has seen an increase of Monster hunters.
The old man had made several appearances in his time, he had shown up to give out his crazy ramblings before shoving a potion in Charlisa’s hand to allow her immortality, Haldamir finally able to put to rest the thought of outliving her by age. Natalie had been given a potion too and there had most likely been more who they just hadn’t heard from yet.
Kokori hadn’t been sitting still, since her childhood friend Inphyy now lived in Hearthome she often travelled between that and her home in the jungle, but more than that she was practicing nearly every day to become a Bubbleball champion, wanting to join one of the teams someday. Kokori hadn’t given up surpassing her father, no she had only just begun, but there was no reason she couldn’t do that while having fun!
Rhynn or Ruin as she was known as during her assassin career had fallen for Cirus the Dragonhearted Scaletail and was currently pregnant with his second child while living with him, Lilith and their son in Midnight Haven. Lilith had been happy growing up with them even though she stood truly alone as the only Moonblade to her knowledge, her soul weapon had developed into a blade of enormous proportion yet it reflected her confidence more than anything.
Lexia Ace’s clumsiness curse had been severely dampened now, still unable to remove it entirely she was now able to get about without injuring herself her accidents mostly related to carrying stuff or being around fragile decorations. Her Card Magic had become its own style of magic under Fenthariels guidance and some students had taken it as secondary magic yet they still didn’t take it as their primary given that there was no full fledged master in the magic and there probably wouldn’t be before Lexia had grown to become one which was still years off. At Midnight Haven with its Tech-Angel professor she wasn’t as alone as Lilith in her racial struggles, but in return she still had many secrets to keep if she didn’t want to bring down the erie of her old people. Her books had grown in numbers since her first and her love for books had been clear, outside of learning material she had started publishing books about Mooncult incident in an attempt to bring the vile cult to light.
The Mooncult incident had been known to those involved, but what most of them had experienced was fighting an army of advance magic-resistant metal mech’s, undead shadow drones and an odd new variant of Bladeborn.
