I’ve been doing storyteller games for years. I enjoy weaving a story structure into most games I play, even if they aren’t needed. I play a board game, like Talisman, and I try to construct a narrative for all the players on the board as to why they adventure and clash with one another. I play card games, like Fluxx, and I imagine why my character cards are working together. Stories are always more interesting to me than mechanics, I think of mechanics as support for the narrative.
