Every day, they never stop. They’re like the ocean, lapping against the rocks, slowly chipping away, endlessly, till something inevitably gives.
All we have is the other people trapped in this room with us, while the bodies of our peers - people we knew, people we hated, people we laughed with, and people we cared about - slam themselves against the doors, the walls and the windows, trying to get to us. It means we can’t stop, just like they can’t. Unless we want to become one of them, and leave everyone else behind, we can’t stop.
Even if we want to.
